About EL Australia EL Australia has forged many unique relationships with a broad spectrum of clientele. With a diverse and dynamic Design Team, stellar Sales force and partnership with the leading EL manufacturing facility in Mainland China, EL Australia is poised to penetrate the Australasian market and beyond. EL Australia strives to be the largest and most comprehensive Electroluminescent Lighting firm in the Oceania region for advertising, POP, and consumer retail products.
Electroluminescent Light (EL) EL Australia (ELA) is pioneering light technology in a wide array of retail markets and in the advertising industry. The process is simple: illuminating phosphor crystals are printed directly onto a clear, conductive substrate. The substrate is then applied to any surface from fabrics to metals, signage to promotional products - the possible applications are endless! When the phosphor crystals are exposed to an electric current, Electroluminescent Light (EL) is produced. EL is energy efficient and cool to the touch. EL Australia takes the process a step further by producing Animated Electroluminescent Lighting (AEL) which is the process of taking EL and programming lighted sequence events within any graphic or full colour image.
Benefits of EL - Animate colour images, text and logos
- Cool to touch - negligible heat emission
- Paper thin - less than 1mm thick
- Low energy consumption (most efficient light source on earth!)
- No hazardous materials - landfill friendly
- For use in indoor and outdoor applications
- Install as signage or supplement a P.O.P stand
- Easy to look at, pleasing to the eye
- No filament to break - internal structure will not break or encounter overall failure
- Flexible and Pliable
- 94% consumer awareness for moving displays compared with 43% awareness for static displays
What is Animated EL If EL is NOT animated, then it is just flat backlight. With EL, you now have the ability to light up specific areas of graphics and even very thin lines within a graphic to produce a dazzling, attention getting animated light sequence. The level of sophistication for any animation is only limited by the imagination. Animated EL is accomplished first by creating a virtual computer animation. Our engineering experts will then use the animation effect as reference as they pattern the EL light panel as well as the hardware to light up exactly as they see in the virtual animation. Whether you want to go for a subtle look with your product or create a high-energy, eye-catching and creative animated effect, our design team will animate the most appropriate look for your product in the setting that it will be in. Our creative team has a thorough understanding of EL and they are seasoned experts in creating spectacular animation effects. The ability to animate EL further proves the dynamic flexibility of this lighting source over any other!
The Creative Process There are no extra charges for animation and creative direction. We feel that it is very important for every project that comes through our factory to be in the hands of our design experts who understand the dynamics of working with EL and who have the creativity for producing dynamic animation sequences. Virtual computer animations will be created and displayed on our secure website in 24-48 hours upon receiving proper artwork files for the project. You will be provided user login information at the start of the project. Once the animations are approved a prototype sample of the sign will be produced.
File Requirements EL Australia only accepts electronic files
Bitmap Image Files: For the best possible results bitmap images must have a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) However, for large signage this may be difficult to achieve so we can output image files as low as 100dpi and still achieve a good quality print. RGB or CMYK is also acceptable.
Acceptable files: Photoshop CS or below .psd /.tif /.jpg /.bmp /.pdf
Vector artwork files:
Adobe Illustrator CS and below .ai /.eps Corel Draw 11 and below .cdr / .eps Press Ready – Adobe Acrobat .pdf files
Pricing and prototyping your project
Price is determined by the following: - The size of the image
- The amount of lighted area (i.e. more phosphorous)
- Quantity
- Number of lighting sequences/complexity of the sequenced areas
- Finishing: the type of lamination for example: UV protection?
- Framing and backing, installation.
Note: Standard tooling fees apply for all projects and will be determined once some of the project details have been worked out. Additional tooling may be required for special projects that have not been previously prototyped such as a new consumer product or promotional item. For example, tooling fees would be required for a project that requires plastic moulding injection. All tooling fees will be thoroughly priced before the manufacturing process begins. The prototype will take 7 to 10 working days to complete and will serve as a maer proof to follow for production of the order. Additional tooling charges may be incurred for any changes to the physical prototype such as design changes to the artwork or changes in the lit area and animation sequence. Additional charges can be easily avoided if any changes are made during the virtual computer animated sample is presented.
Production To start volume production after the prototype has been approved, EL Australia requires a signed purchased order and a deposit equal to 50% of purchase order. Upon receipt of the order and deposit, EL Australia will provide a firm production schedule. Upon completion of the order, EL Australia will send the customer confirmation of the order as well as a video image file of the finished product.
Payment and Release
All orders require prepayment before release from warehouse. The reseller/customer will be required to pay the balance of the order, 50% of the total contract value before EL Australia will release the product. EL Australia will ship the product to the destination designated by the Reseller. The reseller/customer must pre-pay all shipping charges unless otherwise negotiated. El Australia accepts: - Bank Draft, Money Order, and Certified Bank Cheque
- T/T Payment
- Company Cheque
